Grace, You're a Dear
03:20
|
|||
Oh Grace, you're a dear, and you are sufficient yeah
In this hotter than a sauna desert, oh my eyes on you honey
And milky white skin won’t save my soul
Honey and milky white skin it won’t save my soul
I have got breasts enough on my own
I have got breasts enough on my own, I have two haven’t I?
And the leaf it is stuck on the windshield but I am not…
I have breast enough on my own…
Yeah the leaf it is stuck on the windshield but I am not…
I have breast enough on my own, I have two haven’t I?

How I long to be a Cornish Rex, but in truth I am a Persian Smoke
I wish I was a Bengal, but really I am a Scottish Fold
Ocicat…
Ocicat, Tabby Cat, The La Perm, Tiger!

Quicksand Throne

Come over any other day and I will set you up with a salad
But I’m too beat to open the can of beets that you like to eat with spinach and onion
Don’t feel bad I’m not calling back anyone
I’m feeling too lonely, and if I’m not alone
How can I justify feeling lonely? And what will I call this feeling?
A little sleep, a little slumber
A little folding of the hands to rest and I am being pulled under
Death has crept upon me like a bandit
And scarcity like an armed man, oh man
Come over any other day and we’ll talk al about your boyfriend
And how they’ll all leave you in the end all you can depend on is your friends
9 times out of 10 women outlive men anyways
And your feeling so lonely, cause you’re never alone
You’re as stuck as I am lazy, we share a quicksand throne
A little sleep, a little slumber
You unfold your hands from rest only to dress yourself in featherbed armor
Your breastplate is misgiving and your shield is surrender
Your sword is too forgiving to combat the armed man, your man
And suddenly from above, there’s a woman descending
And her face is shining, and her arms are long and right
And into our oceans of inaction she lowers a string of tugboats
They are made of wisdom, they are give us life boats
And the oceans we’re in are just mind moats
And the armed men dragons that only exist if we feed them
And text me again, text me again
Next time you’re going out send me a text
And I’ll probably be ready to go out by then
And I promise to be a more consistent friend
If you promise to leave him
If he ever hits you again

Appear

Appear a peer up hear upwards of twenty compliments a night crawl hers and history of success when couples dress as twinset jet jonesing for grace that no one wants to no string can knot tie dying to red the apples of the eyes that flash, that blog, slipcover for what’s underdress for successive regrets, get more give less. Confession doesn’t mean that I’m not mean, that I’m not vain.

Crash My Bike
02:16
|
|||
If you crash my bike on your way over, it won’t be featured in the cinemas
It’s not that important to us
You can scratch and scratch all day
But the itchiness won’t go away
It’s here to play
I have got your goat
I keep it in this coat for you
So warm, and young, and you
You know just what to do
In the lightning afternoon
And the dunes and honey swim us

Teacher: Who hear knows what it means to bail? What it means to bail on someone?
Student: It’s means um, that someone tells you they’re coming and they don’t show up.

Just Like Your Friends
02:22
|
|||
There’s no easy way to get through the day
When you’re out there on your own
And there’s no one to come home to
There’s no easy way to get through the day
When you’re sick of all the songs that they’re playing in the moonlight
You’re just like your friends…
There’s no easy way to watch a true love fade
Its not always blunt like that, sometimes low mist will surround you
There’s no easy way to watch a true love fade
If you’re honest as a lark, still the darkness can walk you home
You’re just like your friends…
There’s no easy way
Where have your magic tricks got you now?
There’s no easy way
The enchantment’s too deep, you’re always asleep
There’s no easy to watch a man decay
Watch a rosy cheek pale
Watch the soil pull you under
There’s no easy way to be well fed and safe
Lot’s of time to be creative when true love is absent
You’re just like your friends…

No One Can Leave Love
05:05
|
|||
No one can leave love like I can
The wedges that I drive are velvet
I still want to be in a band with you, baby
But in a new way, old love
No one can switch gears like I can
From lover to brother fantastic
But we can share a bed if the lightening scares us
Smooth as silk baby
Into this new way, old love
From the first day, so rushed
And to all the Maureens and the Saras
I am no longer embarrassed
It is a new kind of love that’s going on
And I’m getting into it
I’m getting into it
I will sleep where I am sleepy wherever I’m sleepy
I wont let names keep me from bouncing my brains
I wont let chains choke out the truest refrains
Come now let’s change, let’s realize what’s realest
No one can leave love like I can…
(I can still taste your sweat after so long)
No one can leave love

Warren Gonzalez
02:19
|

It is so important to feel cared about. If you’re sick and someone acts like they care about you, it makes you feel less sick definitely. I know this is true because one time, somebody gave me vitamins, and later I looked at the bottle of vitamins and they were way past the expiration date. Nevertheless they were effective vitamins because it is so awesome when someone acts like they care about you. It feels like you’re in bed with your mom and the sheets are super clean and she pours you a glass of wine and puts on a movie and you drink the wine and fall asleep watching the movie together. And in the morning, even though she has to get up, you get to sleep in as late as you want and then when you rise there’s string cheese in the fridge! And that’s why I want to thank Warren Gonzales, managing director of Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates, the place I’m a receptionist at, because by God’s dear grace he gave me Echinacea and Emergen-C and they made me feel way better and able to get through my day.

Goals
04:41
|
|||
Come again, I can’t believe the things that you are saying
Come again, with me tonight touching you feels like praying
Here comes the part where you say I deserve better
I’ve got so much going for me in my life
Jesus Christ
I’ve been writing to-do lists
There’s so much to do but its not my day planner
That’s gonna get me outta this dump
I need leather that breathes
I phone my sister who answered her cell in a tanning bed
I told her what happened
We went out for sushi that night
She said that it would be all right
I’ve got so much going for me in my life
I’ve got goals
I’ve got projects upon projects
I’ve been making connections
Rungs on my ladder to heaven
I’ve been making lots of pictures
A recent one was of a bunch of sperm
Swimming up to an egg with two eyes and a frown
My next-door neighbor kinda liked it
He said he’d never seen me depict my pain plainly
And I should keep painting for sure
But not to quit my day job
I’ve got goals
I’ve got projects upon projects
I’ve been making connections
Rungs on my ladder to heaven
I’ve got goals
I’ve got projects upon projects
I’ve been making connections
Rungs on my ladder to heaven
It’s not like I can still taste the sweat on your neck
Or feel the course of your hands
Or remember the melodies you used to make up on the bass guitar
It all seems so far away when we used to harmonize together in the car
I have
I have so much
God has given me so much

Before There Were Oceans
03:57
|
|||
Like a gold ring in a pigs snout is a beautiful woman
Like a gold ring in a pigs snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion
I resolve today to be marked by reason
To make mature decisions
I’ve been wooed by wisdom
Before there were oceans
Her breasts shone outside of time
I’ve found I can’t drink from mine
Although I have two, haven’t I?
Before there were oceans, wisdom deep
Before there were oceans, wisdom
